Laredo came to us in June of 1990 at the age of six months. He seemed to announce that he was "special" and indeed he was, finishing his championship at two years of age. There was a great deal of celebrating that day because his win also completed the ROM on both his sire and dam. Laredo is a dog that combines both genotype and phenotype. Laredo's beautiful breed type and sidegait are no accident. His pedigree contains three solid generations of ROMs and he is from a multi-champion litter. Laredo is a large black

and gold dog with a masculine head and large bone. He has an iron back, is clean coming and going, has a full mouth with correct bite and in motion he is superb. Laredo has a beautiful shoulder opening with extreme reach, underdrive and a magnificent period of suspension, much like his double select dam. The part we love best about this dog though, is his keen intelligence and outstanding temperament. Laredo is a joy to live with and a pleasure to love. We thank his breeder, Helen Franklin, for letting us own this "special" dog.
